My Story
Hi, my name is Precious Charles Banigo and I'm writing this from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
If you've ever watched your salary disappear before the 18th of the month, you already know why this blog exists.
For a long time, that was my life. Transport costs eating deep every morning, generator fuel swallowing whatever was left, food prices going up faster than anything else, and rent that felt like a personal enemy. I wasn't living large, I was just surviving. And every month I was borrowing from loan apps to fill the gap, which only made things worse.
In early 2025, I got tired of the cycle. I started small — tracking every naira I spent, testing side hustles I could actually start with little capital, shopping smarter at local markets, and learning how to budget in a way that made sense for Nigeria, not some dollar-based template from abroad. Some things worked. A lot didn't. But I kept notes on all of it, and the small wins started adding up.
By 2026, I had enough real experience, real mistakes, and real wins to actually help people. That's when I launched Thrifty Hustle Hub.
This isn't theory I copied from Reddit. Everything here comes from what I've personally tried, tested, or researched specifically for the Nigerian situation — the kind of content I wish existed when I was struggling.
My mission is simple: help everyday Nigerians stretch their income, find real side hustles that work in this economy, and make smarter money decisions — without the sugar-coating.
