Which Ones Are Actually Useful and Really Needed?
Not all 13 are equally important for most of us. Here’s my honest opinion based on what can actually help with side hustles, remote work, or making extra money in 2026:
Most Useful & Recommended:
Claude 101 – Best one to start with. Teaches you how to use Claude effectively for everyday tasks like writing, research, and planning.
Building with the Claude API – Very practical if you want to build small tools or automate things.
Introduction to Agent Skills – This one is gold. It teaches how to make Claude act like an “agent” (do multi-step tasks automatically). Many people say this is the most valuable course right now.
Claude Code in Action – Great if you’re interested in coding or want to use AI to help you code faster.
Less Needed for Beginners:
The ones for educators, students, nonprofits, or specific cloud platforms (Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex) are good but not as immediately useful unless they match your exact situation.
My Advice:
If you’re just starting, begin with Claude 101 and Introduction to Agent Skills. They will give you the biggest return on your time. Once you finish those two, you’ll already be ahead of most people using AI.
These free certificates can look good on your CV, especially if you’re applying for remote jobs or freelance gigs.
